My sweet baby girl had her tonsils and adenoids removed this past Thursday. She is doing well...children are so resilient...We had to stay the night at Texas Children's Hospital because of her age. This frustrated me at first thinking we would all be more comfortable at home in our own surroundings and in our own beds. Boy was I wrong! It was a difficult night and being there just made me feel better. I knew that my baby girl was in excellent hands. Now don't get me wrong, it was a difficult night but probably nothing out of the norm. We started off having just an OK stay at the hospital and then we had a nurse change. Our "new" nurse, Nurse Monica, loved my baby girl as if she were her own... and I tell you that made a world of difference to me.

Ahliana was such a trooper. Before they took her to the surgical area she got to change into some special Texas Children's P.J's and she played with new friends. The Anesthesiologist came out to speak with us before letting Ahliana drive her little pink caddy into the back room. They were all very nice and afterwards in the recovery room came by Ahliana's bed just to tell us how cute she was and how well she did. They said that she was back there owning the place...Who?? Not my Ahli??
