Broadway in Love
My niece is a ♫ ♪ singing sensation ♪ ♫ . On Tuesday April 20th she sang in her Third Annual Dessert Cabaret for her high school. My niece invited me to go watch her perform. But she neglected to tell me that she was going to make me cry like a baby. When we sat down I looked at the program that was given to us at the front door. I wanted to see what she would be singing. Then I read it in Act II- Finding Love: "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof - oh AKC how you touched my heart with this one. My mother wrote in my baby book that she wanted this song sang at my wedding. My mother was unable to attend my wedding but we played this song in her memory. I can't believe my niece would even remember... my brother didn't...lol.
On stage singing ♫♫♪
Let me also add that she did a fabulous job!! Unfortunately I did not get to hear the entire program {but I was really there to listen to my niece anyway right} because I was out in the hall chasing around my beautiful daughter who couldn't sit still {because of all the dessert that was served at the "dessert Cabaret"}.
My brother's children never cease to amaze me... they really are both just so awesome and I could go on and on about how proud I am to be their Aunt all day long.
This kid is NOT lacking in the LOVE department!!
Uncle E and the Ice Cream Truck
Uncle E is with out a doubt "one" of Ahliana's favorite people. He is not afraid to act up with her and together they are just rowdy. He drops by often just to get a little Ahli love. She is just so silly with him.
Power to the People!!
Ashley came into town to visit so Erickson came by so we could all hang out together{that is why these pics are very similar to pics in an earlier post}. We were all sitting outside when Ahliana heard the ice cream truck. I did not even react thinking we could prolong the obvious .... if she just does did not know the deliciousness on the truck then we would not have to run after it every time she hears it right??? NOT!! Uncle E jumped right up and together the two of them ran over to the ice cream truck for a treat. Now you can not tell me that is not just cute!!
Let's see... I want this one...and that one... and that one...
Yummy... Let the fun begin!!!
Lil Sis - Aunt Ashley
Aunt Ashley lives in New York and we get to see her a few times a year. Although we are greatful for those times it just never seems like enough. So when she is here we try to soak in as much time with her as we possilbly can. We are really lucky because she will be here twice in May and possibly for Ahliana's birthday.
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon so we were all able to sit outside and enjoy a little sunshine. We threw a blanket in the grass, enjoyed some good conversation and plenty of laughs.
We tried to teach Ahli the concept of put-put golf {as you can image that did not go to well...but we tried}.
Put both hands on the club silly...
Hugs goodbye... XOXOXO... see you soon Aunt Ashley!!

Little Green House
Sunday was a wet rainy day which kept us indoors. So we decided to start a little flower garden. It was really cute but Ahli is still a little to young to get it. hopefully when she sees the flowers she will understand that we planted them. It really was a lot of fun and not hard to do at all. I think the hardest part was getting Ahli to understand to dump the teaspoon of water into the pot.

Luby's
Last Wednesday I picked Ahliana up from school and on the way home I asked her what she wanted for dinner. She said Luby's? Well... we don't have Luby's at home would you like pizza or fishsticks? Yeah..yeah... I would pick Luby's too with those choices... I just had to laugh because she did the same thing on Thursday. Ahli, we have never been to Luby's why do you want it for dinner so badly? On Friday I found out that a little girl in her class went to Luby's for dinner on Wednesday night...it all makes sense now.
So I decided that I needed to take this poor deprived child to Luby's. On Friday morning I called daddy and asked him to meet us there after work then I put the word out to Uncle Kyle and Aunt Marni.
A feast at Luby's Cafateria it was!! Now how in the world 2 adults and a child under the age of 2 spent $32 on a meal at a cafateria is beyond me... but we had fun!
Ahliana gobbled the broccoli all up (she loves broc co leee) and ate a little of her chicken and mashed potatoes... but after the meal came the ........
Blue Jello!!
Do you see how blue her fingers are?
Now when I ask her if she had fun at Luby's she responds with: A nod of the head and Uncle Kyle and Aunt Marni...she doesn't even mention the fabulous blue jello... now that is love!! Thank you both for joining us on our Luby's adventure.
Easter Fun with Family
This year for Easter we did not make it to church which made Easter a little weird because although it should not be the only time you go to church, Easter and Christmas should be a time that you do go to church if you can. We just can't find a church that we really like. The pastor from our old church decided it was time for he and his wonderful family to move back to Canada... I want to be greedy and just yell from the roof tops.... Come Back Green Family...we need you!! But that would be selfish and I am sure the lord has bigger plans for him.
We did spend good quality time with our family and friends. We had a wonderful lunch and then the family came back to our house. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside and mingled, played games, laughed at each other and Ahliana, and just enjoyed the time.
Playing Bocce Ball?? Looks intense!!
Flying with Grandma!!
Ahliana got two Easter baskets both filled with lots of candy and fun. I have to admit that the basket she got from Uncle Bruce and Aunt Lynn was way better then the one that the Easter Bunny brought her. It was loaded with sweet stuff and lots of bubbles! Yea... we love bubbles. It even had a card... Easter Bunny better take note for next year...hahaha
The Easter Bunny left some good stuff mommy...
Uncle Bruce and Aunt Lynn are way cooler
then the Easter Bunny mommy...
Bubbles!!
Bubbles with silly bubble head dudette..
I just wonder what she is thinking???

Bluebonnets
I love Bluebonnet season. I have made Keith promise that we will take a day out of every season to make the drive to Brenham just to take pictures and play. This is year two and he has kept his promise. We took our pictures then went to eat at this yummy little Mexican restaurant! We drove out there a little early this year (they are in full bloom mid April) we went on the 3rd. They were still so beautiful. They cover the pasters making the grass somehow appear blue...like the green grass does not even exist unerneath the array of blue flowers. In Brenham they are like nowhere I have ever seen them before. Not only are they everywhere but they are so blue that they are almost violet.
Looking at these pictures really makes me reflect on how much Ahliana has grown. Last year we took pictures about this same time and she was only 11 months old. She couldn't even walk yet and she barely had any hair. It is crazy how time flies. Now she is 22 months old and she is walking, talking, telling me no... and she has a headful of beautiful curly hair.

♥ Sweet 16 ♥
On March 16 my niece turned "sweet 16" - WOW!! I feel old!! I remember the day she was born and it seems like...well not yesterday but definately not 16yrs ago either. She is such a beautiful young lady inside and out. I am so proud of not only her but of my nephew as well.
For her birthday she got a truck. Now this is not just any truck ... she claimed this truck when she was about 10. This was my brother's truck and she told him that she wanted it when she was old enough to drive. So my brother being the fabulous dad that he is, saved it for her. Then a few months prior to her birthday he and my wonderful sis- in- law started fixing it up. Now not just any girl can get away with driving a truck... you definately have to be a little hottie like she is. I love you AKC. Happy Sweet 16!!

Secret Agent Bloggers
I read a blog today that made me laugh out loud. I don't know the woman that writes the blog but I don't think that many of her followers do know her. You can access her page by clicking Fly Through Our Window on the front page of my blog...she is great and she takes fabulous pictures. In her blog she wrote "I think I need a blogging "secret agent" who can take care of my house while I blog or blog while I take care of my house!" In my case it would be take care of my work, daughter, laundry...you get the picture. What I am trying to say is that if I had one of these blogging "sercret agents" I would be better able to keep up with my blog. I really do have so much to blog about and so many cute pics of my little one and family. I will get them up soon... please be patient with me (as I hear Jewel singing in my head).
